Role Overview:
This position involves creating and implementing staff education and professional development activities to enhance patient outcomes. The role requires assessing staff educational needs, developing tailored training programs, and collaborating with various teams to promote safety, quality, and regulatory compliance. Nurses will gain expertise in both neurologic and orthopedic spine care, managing diverse surgical procedures such as degenerative conditions, traumatic injuries, and complex reconstructions.
Responsibilities:
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate educational programs for clinical and non-clinical staff.
- Collaborate with staff and external organizations to develop and deliver training and continuing education.
- Participate in initiatives that support safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
- Work with leadership to identify educational needs and create appropriate learning plans.
- Engage in ongoing professional development and lifelong learning.
Qualifications & Skills:
- BSN required; RN license essential.
- 2-5 years of experience; preferred candidates may have a master’s degree in nursing with 5-10 years of experience.
- Basic Cardiovascular Life Support (BCLS) certification preferred.
- Strong collaboration, communication, and organizational skills.
Key Duties & Requirements:
- Support the development of a specialized inpatient spine unit.
