Role: Laboratory Supervisor overseeing daily lab operations, personnel management, and instrument implementation. Ensures compliance with regulatory standards such as GDCH, CAP, CLIA, OSHA, FDA, and TJC. Provides training, supports testing protocols, and manages tasks like payroll, scheduling, supply ordering, and inventory control.
Responsibilities: Manages department staff to ensure accurate and timely laboratory testing, aiding patient care. Develops and implements training programs for new staff, maintains adherence to federal and regulatory standards, and performs routine technologist duties to validate results. Evaluates new equipment and procedures to improve efficiency and cost-effectiveness. Ensures compliance with organizational policies and standards.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s in Medical Technology, Medical Science, or related field; Master’s preferred.
- Certifications such as MT(ASCP), MLS(ASCP), or equivalent required upon hire.
- Minimum of 5 years of laboratory experience.
