Role: The Clinical Nurse on the Rapid Response/Code Team serves as a hospital-wide resource, responding to emergency situations such as Code Blue, White, CAT events, and traumas. They provide expert clinical guidance and education to staff, especially on less familiar procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Respond to emergency codes and critical events across the hospital.
- Offer guidance and training to staff on clinical procedures.
- Provide direct patient care, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, and evaluation within nursing standards.
- Promote patient and family-centered care, educating on illness management, post-treatment care, and medication.
- Participate in activities ensuring patient safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans, ensuring clear communication across care teams.
- Assess physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, respecting patient preferences and cultural considerations.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Minimum 2 years of Critical Care or Emergency Department experience.
- ACLS certification required.
- RN license; Nursing Diploma/Associate’s degree; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Strong critical thinking, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work safely and remain alert in a fast-paced environment.
