Clinical Nurse – Pediatric Operating Room

Role Overview:

Provides direct patient care in a pediatric hospital setting, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation within nursing standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Promotes patient and family-centered care, educating on illness management, home care, and medication administration.
  • Participates in activities that enhance patient safety, quality, and compliance, while engaging in professional development.
  • Develops, implements, and documents individualized care plans collaboratively with the healthcare team, patients, and families.
  • Uses critical nursing skills to evaluate physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, considering patient preferences and barriers.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Minimum education: Nursing Diploma or Associate’s Degree in Nursing; preferred BSN.
  • Licensure: RN license required.
  • Experience: At least 1 year of Operating Room nursing experience preferred; prior experience in Orthopedics is a plus.
  • Strong communication, assessment, and critical thinking skills, with a focus on safety-sensitive duties.
