Role Overview:
Provides direct patient care in a pediatric hospital setting, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation within nursing standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Promotes patient and family-centered care, educating on illness management, home care, and medication administration.
- Participates in activities that enhance patient safety, quality, and compliance, while engaging in professional development.
- Develops, implements, and documents individualized care plans collaboratively with the healthcare team, patients, and families.
- Uses critical nursing skills to evaluate physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, considering patient preferences and barriers.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Minimum education: Nursing Diploma or Associate’s Degree in Nursing; preferred BSN.
- Licensure: RN license required.
- Experience: At least 1 year of Operating Room nursing experience preferred; prior experience in Orthopedics is a plus.
- Strong communication, assessment, and critical thinking skills, with a focus on safety-sensitive duties.
