Clinical Nurse – Pediatric ER

Role Overview: Provides direct patient care in a pediatric emergency department, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care. Promotes patient and family-centered care, educating families on illness management, post-treatment care, and medication administration. Collaborates with the healthcare team to develop, implement, and document individualized care plans, ensuring clear communication across the continuum of care. Utilizes critical nursing skills to assess physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, respecting patient preferences, values, and cultural considerations.


Responsibilities:

  • Foster a healing environment through patient and family education.
  • Participate in activities supporting patient safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.
  • Develop and document care plans with measurable goals, coordinating with team members and families.
  • Assess and evaluate patient needs holistically, considering emotional, spiritual, and cultural factors.
  • Work in a safety-sensitive role, maintaining constant alertness to ensure safety standards are met.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Nursing Diploma/Associate’s degree required; Bachelor’s preferred.
  • RN licensure required.
  • Preferred: 1+ year RN experience in pediatric acute care or emergency department.
  • Strong communication, critical thinking, and collaboration skills.
