Clinical Nurse – Outpatient Gyn/Chemo Center

Role Overview:

This role involves providing direct patient care, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation, within established nursing standards. The nurse promotes patient and family-centered care, educating on illness management, post-treatment care, and medication administration. Responsibilities include ensuring patient safety, quality, and regulatory compliance, developing individualized care plans collaboratively, and communicating effectively across care teams. The position emphasizes assessing physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, respecting patient values and cultural considerations.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • RN license with a Nursing Diploma or Associate’s Degree (Bachelor’s preferred)
  • 2+ years of nursing experience, preferably in oncology and chemo-certified
  • Strong critical thinking, communication, and patient education skills
  • Ability to work safely and alertly in a healthcare environment

Key Duties:

  • Provide compassionate, timely chemotherapy infusion and related care
  • Educate patients and families on treatment and home care needs
  • Participate in professional development and quality improvement activities
  • Ensure effective communication of care plans across multidisciplinary teams
