Role Overview
Provides direct patient care in an orthopedic unit, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation within nursing standards. Promotes patient and family-centered care through education on illness management, post-treatment care, and medication administration. Participates in activities that ensure patient safety, quality, and regulatory compliance, while contributing to professional development.
Key Responsibilities
- Develops, implements, and documents individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team, ensuring seamless communication across care settings.
- Uses critical nursing skills to evaluate physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, considering patient values, cultural, and spiritual factors.
- Supports a safe environment, adhering to safety protocols, as this is a safety-sensitive role.
Qualifications & Skills
- Educational requirement: Nursing Diploma/Associate’s degree in Nursing.
- Licensure: Valid RN license.
- Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Nursing and at least 2 years of experience.
- Skills: Strong assessment, communication, and teamwork abilities; ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment.
