Clinical Nurse – Operating Room and Outpatient Surgery Center

Role Overview

The OR Staff Nurse provides direct patient care in an outpatient surgery setting, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation, within established nursing standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Promote patient and family-centered care, educating on illness management, post-treatment care, and medication administration.
  • Participate in activities enhancing patient safety, quality, and regulatory compliance, along with ongoing professional development.
  • Develop, implement, and document personalized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team, ensuring effective communication across care continuum.
  • Use critical nursing skills to evaluate physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, considering patient preferences, cultural, spiritual, and population-specific factors.
  • Maintain a safety-sensitive approach, working in a constant alert state to ensure safety.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Educational requirement: Nursing Diploma/Associate’s Degree in Nursing; Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
  • Licensure: Valid RN license.
  • Experience: No experience required; 2 years of experience preferred.
  • Additional skills: Ability to work independently, collaborate effectively, and demonstrate critical thinking.
