Clinical Nurse – Operating Room

Role Overview:

This position involves providing direct patient care within a specialized cardiothoracic unit, requiring assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient needs in accordance with nursing standards. The role emphasizes patient and family-centered care, education on illness management, and proactive communication across care teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Promote a healing environment by educating patients and families on post-treatment care and medication management.
  • Participate in ensuring patient safety, quality standards, and regulatory compliance while engaging in ongoing professional development.
  • Develop, implement, and document individualized care plans with clear goals, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams and patients.
  • Utilize critical nursing skills to assess physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, considering patient values, cultural, and spiritual needs.
  • Maintain safety-sensitive responsibilities, ensuring alertness and safe practice at all times.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Minimum education: Nursing Diploma or Associate’s Degree, with a preference for Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.
  • Licensure: Valid RN license.
  • Experience: Entry-level acceptable; 2+ years preferred.
  • Skills: Critical thinking, patient education, collaboration, and adherence to safety protocols.
