Role Overview: Provides direct patient care within a rehabilitation unit, focusing on adult and geriatric patients requiring intensive therapies such as speech, occupational, and physical therapy.
Key Responsibilities:
Promote patient and family-centered care, educating on illness management, home care, and medication use. Participate in activities ensuring patient safety, quality standards, and regulatory compliance. Develop, implement, and document individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team, ensuring effective communication across care transitions. Assess and evaluate patients’ physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, considering cultural and personal values. Utilize critical nursing skills to provide comprehensive care, maintaining safety and alertness as a safety-sensitive position.Qualifications & Skills: Registered Nurse (RN) license required. Nursing diploma or associate’s degree; bachelor’s preferred. No prior experience necessary; <2 years preferred. Preferred: BSN and neurology experience.
