Role Overview:
Provides direct patient care in a Med Surg Cardiac unit, assessing, diagnosing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing activities according to standards of care. Promotes patient and family-centered care, educating on illness management, post-treatment care, and medication administration. Participates in ensuring patient safety, quality, and regulatory compliance while supporting professional development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develops and documents individualized care plans with collaborative input, ensuring clear communication across care teams.
- Uses critical nursing skills to assess physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, respecting patient preferences, values, and cultural considerations.
- Supports a healing environment through patient education and safety initiatives.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Education: Nursing Diploma/Associate’s Degree required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
- Licenses & Certifications: Valid RN license.
- Experience: No prior experience required; 2+ years preferred.
- Strong assessment, communication, and critical thinking skills.
