Clinical Nurse – Interventional Radiology

Role Overview:

This position involves providing direct patient care, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation within nursing standards. The role emphasizes patient and family-centered care, education on illness management, and post-treatment needs. Collaboration with the interprofessional team to develop and communicate individualized care plans is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Promote a healing environment through patient and family education
  • Participate in safety, quality, and regulatory activities, and engage in professional development
  • Assess physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, respecting patient preferences and cultural values
  • Develop and document care plans with clear goals, ensuring effective communication across care teams
  • Work in a safety-sensitive environment, maintaining constant alertness

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Nursing Diploma or Associate’s Degree required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • RN license required, with at least 2 years of experience in IR, Cath Lab, ED, or ICU (Critical Care) preferred
  • Strong critical nursing skills, collaboration, and patient education abilities
