Clinical Nurse Gyn Oncology

Role Overview:

This position involves providing direct patient care in a specialized 30-bed unit focusing on female-related health issues, primarily GYN Oncology.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care according to established standards.
  • Educate patients and families on disease management, post-treatment care, and medication administration.
  • Promote patient safety, quality, and compliance while participating in professional development.
  • Develop and communicate individualized care plans collaboratively with the healthcare team and patients.
  • Evaluate physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, considering patient preferences, values, and cultural factors.
  • Maintain safety and alertness as this role is safety-sensitive.

  • Qualifications & Skills:
  • Education: Nursing Diploma/Associate’s degree required; Bachelor’s preferred.
  • Licenses: Valid RN license.
  • Experience: No prior experience required; two years of nursing experience preferred.
  • Skills: Strong critical thinking, communication, and patient education skills.

  • Additional Information:
    Provides care for moderate to high acuity patients with complex interventions, coordinated by a multidisciplinary team including nurses, social workers, pharmacists, and physicians. The role emphasizes patient-centered care, safety, and professional growth.
