Clinical Nurse – GYN Oncology

Role Overview:

Provides direct patient care in a specialized 30-bed unit focusing on female-related issues, primarily GYN Oncology. Responsibilities include assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care within nursing standards. The role involves promoting patient and family-centered care, educating on illness management, ensuring safety, and participating in professional development. It requires critical nursing skills to evaluate physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs while respecting patient values and cultural considerations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develops and documents individualized care plans with collaborative team input.
  • Ensures effective communication across the continuum of care.
  • Supports safety, quality, and regulatory compliance initiatives.
  • Educates patients and families on post-treatment care and medication management.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • RN license; Nursing Diploma/Associate’s degree required; Bachelor’s preferred.
  • No prior experience necessary; two years of experience preferred.
  • Strong assessment, communication, and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to work in a safety-sensitive environment and adapt to high-acuity, complex interventions.
