Role Overview:
Provides direct patient care in a hospital setting within the General Medicine unit, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Promote patient and family-centered care, educating on illness management, post-treatment care, and medication administration.
- Participate in activities that ensure patient safety, quality standards, and regulatory compliance.
- Develop, implement, and document individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team, ensuring effective communication across the continuum of care.
- Assess physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, respecting patient preferences, values, and cultural considerations.
- Engage in professional development to maintain high standards of nursing practice.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Nursing Diploma or Associate’s Degree in Nursing (BSN preferred).
- Active RN license.
- Preferred: 2+ years of nursing experience, especially in med-surg or oncology, with knowledge of chemotherapy administration.
- Strong critical thinking, communication, and teamwork skills.
