Clinical Nurse Coordinator (RN) – Intensive Care Unit
Provide direct critical care while serving as a frontline leader in an ICU setting. Coordinate patient flow and assist with assigning and delegating nursing responsibilities. Mentor and support ICU nurses to strengthen skills, teamwork, and adherence to best practices.
Key Duties
- Coordinate patient flow and oversee unit staffing/assignments
- Ensure compliance with evidence-based protocols, patient safety standards, and regulatory requirements
- Collaborate with intensivists and the interdisciplinary team to guide complex care plans
- Support families and communicate care needs effectively
- Drive quality improvement initiatives and help maintain a patient-first culture
Qualifications & Skills
- Registered Nurse (RN) with ICU/critical care experience
- Strong clinical judgment in complex, high-acuity situations
- Leadership, mentoring, and delegation skills
- Knowledge of clinical protocols, safety practices, and regulatory standards
- Excellent communication and teamwork across disciplines
