Role Overview:
This position involves providing direct patient care in a 24/7 Cancer Care Clinic, including assessments, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation within nursing care standards. The role supports patient and family-centered care by educating on illness management, post-treatment needs, and medication administration. Responsibilities include promoting patient safety, quality, and regulatory compliance, developing individualized care plans collaboratively with the healthcare team and patients, and assessing physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, respecting patient preferences and cultural values. The role requires working in a safety-sensitive environment with alertness and safety focus. Ideal candidates have oncology experience, RN licensure, a nursing diploma or associate degree, and preferred experience of two years with a bachelor’s degree. The position may involve day, night, weekday, or weekend shifts on a PRN basis.
