Clinical Nurse – Cancer Care Clinic

Role Overview:

This position involves providing direct patient care in a busy outpatient oncology and critical care setting, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, and implementation of nursing care within established standards. The role emphasizes patient and family-centered care, education on illness management, and promoting safety, quality, and regulatory compliance. Collaboration with an interprofessional team to develop and communicate individualized care plans is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Educate patients and families on post-treatment care, medication administration, and managing their health needs.
  • Assess physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, considering patient values and cultural factors.
  • Participate in professional development and quality improvement activities.
  • Work in a safety-sensitive environment, maintaining constant alertness.
  • Coordinate care and ensure effective communication across care settings.
  • Qualifications & Skills:

  • Minimum of an ADN or BSN in Nursing; RN licensure required.
  • No prior experience necessary; 2+ years of nursing experience and a Bachelor’s degree are preferred.
  • Strong assessment, critical thinking, communication, and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work rotating day and night shifts, including weekends.
