Clinical Nurse – Cancer Care Clinic

Role Overview:

This position involves providing direct patient care in a busy outpatient oncology and critical care setting, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, and implementation of nursing care within established standards. The role emphasizes patient and family-centered care, education on illness management, and promoting safety, quality, and regulatory compliance. Collaboration with an interprofessional team to develop and communicate individualized care plans is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

Educate patients and families on post-treatment care, medication administration, and managing their health needs.

Assess physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, considering patient values and cultural factors.

Participate in professional development and quality improvement activities.

Work in a safety-sensitive environment, maintaining constant alertness.

Coordinate care and ensure effective communication across care settings.

Qualifications & Skills:

Minimum of an ADN or BSN in Nursing; RN licensure required.

No prior experience necessary; 2+ years of nursing experience and a Bachelor’s degree are preferred.

Strong assessment, critical thinking, communication, and teamwork skills.

Ability to work rotating day and night shifts, including weekends.
