Clinical Nurse – Cancer Care Clinic

Role Overview: Provides direct patient care activities, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation within established nursing standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Promotes patient and family-centered care, educating on illness management, post-treatment home care, and medication use.
  • Participates in activities enhancing patient safety, quality, and regulatory compliance, and engages in professional development.
  • Develops, implements, and documents individualized care plans with collaborative input from patients, families, and the healthcare team.
  • Utilizes critical nursing skills to assess physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, respecting patient values, cultural, and spiritual considerations.
  • Works in a safety-sensitive environment, maintaining constant alertness to ensure safety.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Education: Nursing Diploma/Associate’s Degree required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
  • Licenses & Certifications: Valid RN license required.
  • Experience: No prior experience necessary; 2+ years preferred for certain roles.

Additional Details: The role involves shift rotations including days and nights, with approximately every 6th weekend. Oncology or Critical Care experience is preferred. The position is based in a clinical outpatient setting, supporting chemotherapy, blood products, IV hydration, and symptom management.
