Clinical Nurse BMT Oncology

Role Overview:

This position involves providing direct patient care in a specialized oncology unit, focusing on high-acuity treatments such as leukemia care, stem cell transplants, and clinical trials. Responsibilities include assessing patient needs, developing and implementing individualized care plans, and educating patients and families on illness management and post-treatment care. The role emphasizes promoting patient safety, quality, and regulatory compliance, while supporting a healing environment that centers on patient and family involvement.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Valid RN license and Nursing Diploma or Associate’s Degree required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
  • Experience is not mandatory, but two years of nursing experience is preferred.
  • Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills are essential.
  • Ability to work in a safety-sensitive environment with alertness and professionalism.
  • Key Duties:

  • Assess physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs of patients.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop, communicate, and evaluate care plans.
  • Educate patients and families on illness management and medication.
