Clinical Nurse – Ambulatory Float Pool

Role Overview:

The Ambulatory Float Pool Clinical Nurse provides high-quality, patient-centered care across diverse outpatient settings, including specialty clinics and procedural areas. This role involves assessing, diagnosing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care while promoting safety, quality, and regulatory compliance. Nurses collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and communicate individualized care plans, educate patients and families, and address social determinants of health to improve outcomes.

Responsibilities:

Deliver patient and family education on illness management, post-treatment care, and medication administration.

Maintain safety standards and participate in professional development activities.

Assess physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, respecting patient values and barriers to care.

Develop and document personalized care plans with clear goals, ensuring smooth communication across care settings.

Utilize critical thinking skills to evaluate patient conditions and needs.

Qualifications & Skills:

Minimum of a Nursing Diploma or Associate’s Degree; BSN preferred.
RN licensure required; 2+ years of experience in critical care, emergency, or infusion settings preferred.
Strong communication, critical thinking, and flexibility to adapt to diverse clinical environments.
Ability to work in a safety-sensitive position with alertness and professionalism.
