Role Overview:
Provides direct patient care on a Cardiothoracic/Cardiology floor, with a focus on assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation within nursing care standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Promotes patient and family-centered care, educating on illness management, post-treatment care, and medication administration.
- Participates in activities to ensure patient safety, quality care, and regulatory compliance, while engaging in professional development.
- Develops, implements, and documents individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team, ensuring effective communication across care settings.
- Uses critical nursing skills to assess physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, respecting patient preferences and cultural considerations.
- Works in a safety-sensitive environment, maintaining alertness and safe practices at all times.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Education: Nursing Diploma/Associate’s Degree; preferred Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.
- Licenses & Certifications: Valid RN license required.
- Experience: No prior experience necessary; 2+ years preferred.
