The Registered Nurse Coordinator PACU is responsible for leading and managing patient care in the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit, ensuring effective resource utilization and fostering collaboration among interdisciplinary teams.
They oversee daily operations, support surgical teams to achieve quality outcomes, and coordinate staffing based on patient acuity and census data.
Responsibilities include hiring, performance evaluations, staff development, and participation in performance improvement initiatives.
Qualifications required are a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (preferred), 2 years of acute care experience, and 1 year of leadership experience (preferred).
Key skills include excellent communication, team leadership, organizational, and decision-making abilities, with proficiency in clinical practice and computer use.
Must be a Registered Nurse (RN) in Illinois and certified in AHA Heartsaver CPR.
