Charge RN – MedSurg, Nights

Role Overview: Provides quality nursing care across the patient lifecycle during 12-hour night shifts, overseeing clinical operations and addressing departmental issues. Acts as a resource and communicates patient, staff, and operational concerns to leadership.


Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate delivery of nursing care and manage operational issues during shift
  • Provide clinical care as needed based on patient census
  • Communicate care, operational, and staff concerns to leadership
  • Serve as a resource and guide to staff members

Qualifications:

  • Graduate from a nursing program; Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Minimum of 1 year hospital nursing experience; 2+ years preferred
  • Current RN licensure in the state and/or multistate licensure
  • Required certifications include BCLS, ACLS, PALS, Chemotherapy/Biotherapy, NRP, and PEARS
  • Additional specialty certifications may be required depending on unit
  • Emergency Department nurses must obtain PALS within 30 days of start

Skills: Strong clinical knowledge, communication, resourcefulness, and ability to handle operational issues during shift.
