Charge Nurse (RN) – Acute Care Medicine

Role Overview: The Registered Nurse provides high-quality nursing care by collaborating with the patient care team to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient needs. They serve as a primary point of contact for patients and families, ensuring safe, effective, and patient-centered care.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor, examine, and evaluate patient conditions; assist with care plans and deliver treatments as outlined.
  • Coordinate patient flow and ensure accurate documentation of assessments, care delivered, and incidents.
  • Act as an advocate for patients, addressing concerns, providing education, and communicating with families and care providers.
  • Participate in performance improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes, satisfaction, and staff engagement.
  • Maintain professional licenses and certifications, pursue ongoing training, and stay current with industry best practices.
  • Mentor and support fellow nurses, fostering a positive work environment and promoting professionalism.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Associates, Bachelors, or Masters in Nursing.
  • Valid RN license (single state or multi-state compact).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Strong communication, critical thinking, and teamwork skills.

Additional Duties: Support organizational policies, uphold confidentiality, safety, and professional standards, and contribute to shared governance activities. Performs other assigned duties to support hospital operations.
