Role Overview: The RN Clinical Charge Nurse leads and oversees daily unit operations to ensure safe, high-quality patient care. They practice in a clinical environment guided by evidence-based models, supporting interdisciplinary teams of licensed and unlicensed caregivers. The role involves staff management, resource planning, patient assignments, and promoting best practices to improve outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage staff schedules, patient flow, and resource allocation.
- Conduct patient rounds, evaluate care quality, and implement corrective actions.
- Collaborate with physicians, care teams, and leadership to coordinate care.
- Promote relationship-based, patient-centered care through effective communication.
- Support performance improvement, research, and evidence-based practices.
- Serve as a mentor and preceptor to develop nursing staff and students.

Qualifications & Skills:
- Associates or Bachelor’s Nursing degree preferred.
- Current RN license and certifications including BLS and multi-state licensure required.
- Minimum of 1 year nursing experience; 2 years as relief charge preferred.
- Strong communication, critical thinking, clinical expertise, and leadership skills.
- Proficiency in technology and basic computer skills.
