Charge Nurse – Neuro PCU, Nights

Role Overview: Coordinates the delivery of high-quality nursing care across all age groups, manages operational issues during shifts, and provides clinical support as needed based on patient census. Acts as a resource for staff guidance, communicates patient care updates, departmental concerns, and staff issues to leadership.


Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the provision of safe, effective nursing care for diverse patient populations.
  • Address operational challenges during shifts to maintain care standards.
  • Serve as a resource and support for nursing staff, offering guidance and assistance.
  • Communicate effectively with leadership regarding patient and departmental issues.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Graduate from a nursing program required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Work Experience: Minimum of 1 year hospital nursing experience required; 2+ years preferred.
  • Licenses & Certifications: Valid RN license (Georgia or multistate), BCLS, ACLS, PALS, Chemotherapy/Biotherapy, NRP, AWHONN Fetal Monitoring, PEARS, and additional specialty certifications as applicable.
  • Experience in emergency, labor and delivery, NICU, or surgical services is advantageous.
