Join our compassionate therapy care team as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA).
In this role, you will work under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist to enhance residents’ quality of life by assisting with therapy activities and exercises based on individualized treatment plans.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing, monitoring, and documenting services for patients/residents with physical, cognitive, developmental, and psychosocial impairments
- Selecting, implementing, and adjusting therapeutic activities to meet patient goals
- Communicating with and providing documentation to occupational therapists
- Understanding targeted occupational therapy outcomes for patients/residents
Qualifications and skills:
- Appropriate education level per state licensure requirements
- Licensed as an Occupational Therapy Assistant in the practicing state(s)
- Preferred certification through the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) if working at a Sanford Health Facility
- Valid driver’s license (if applicable)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within six months of hire
