Seeking a Medical Assistant to provide clinical and administrative support in an outpatient setting.
Responsibilities include:
- Obtaining and documenting patient information, vital signs, and visit details using electronic medical records.
- Preparing examination rooms, assisting patients, and supporting providers during procedures.
- Performing clinical tasks such as EKGs, wound dressings, phlebotomy, and specimen collection, within competency.
- Administering medications per policy, completing tests, and supporting laboratory functions.
- Managing clerical duties including scheduling, filing reports, verifying documentation, and facilitating referrals.
- Supporting patient education, ensuring safety, sterilizing instruments, and maintaining infection control protocols.
- Participating in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives.
Qualifications include:
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) with certification from recognized governing bodies.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; specialty training preferred.
