Role: Certified Medical Assistant in an outpatient setting, providing clinical and administrative support under provider supervision.
Responsibilities include: Performing patient care tasks such as preparing patients, collecting vital signs, assisting with procedures, and supporting patient safety and privacy.
Completing tests, collecting specimens, and administering medications within competency.
Managing electronic medical records, scheduling, referrals, billing inquiries, and patient communication.
Maintaining infection control, sterilization, and room setup protocols.
Supporting clinic operations through inventory management and clerical duties.
Participating in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives.
Qualifications & Skills: Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program preferred; certification as CMA or RMA required from recognized governing bodies (NHA, AMT, AAMA, etc.).
High school diploma or GED required.
Strong clinical skills, attention to detail, and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Key Duties: Providing direct patient care, supporting provider procedures, managing documentation, facilitating patient flow, and ensuring compliance with infection control protocols.
Assisting with medication administration, lab specimen collection, and patient education.
