Certified Medical Assistant – CMA

Role Summary: This position is for outpatient Certified Medical Assistants responsible for providing high-quality patient care in ambulatory settings.

Key Responsibilities: Obtain and document patient information, prepare examination rooms, assist with patient preparations, perform clinical tasks such as EKGs, wound dressings, phlebotomy, and medication administration (excluding IVs). Handle laboratory specimen collection, perform receptionist duties, document accurately in electronic medical records, facilitate appointments, and support patient communication and education. Maintain infection control protocols, inventory supplies, and ensure equipment functionality. Support patient safety and quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications & Skills: Graduate of an accredited medical assistant program preferred; certification as CMA or RMA required from recognized associations. Strong clinical, clerical, and communication skills are essential, along with knowledge of infection control and EMR systems.
