Lead Caregiver Role

The Lead Caregiver serves as a shift leader in senior care, ensuring high-quality, consistent resident care while supporting and coaching team members.
Responsibilities include managing shift assignments, attendance, and coverage, providing hands-on assistance with activities of daily living (ADL), reviewing charting to align with Individualized Service Plans (ISP), monitoring resident changes, and communicating concerns promptly.
They support onboarding and mentor new staff, promote safety and compliance, and facilitate smooth shift transitions.

Ideal candidates possess a high school diploma or GED, CPR, First Aid, and Medication Administration certifications, along with strong communication, delegation, and decision-making skills. Experience in assisted living, memory care, or senior care is preferred. This role combines frontline caregiving with leadership, modeling professionalism, accountability, and compassionate service.
