Lead Caregiver Role in Senior Care

The Lead Caregiver serves as a frontline leader in senior care, ensuring high-quality, consistent resident care while mentoring and supporting the caregiving team.
Responsibilities include leading shift assignments, managing attendance, providing hands-on assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs), coaching team members on care standards, reviewing documentation to ensure accuracy and adherence to Individualized Service Plans (ISP), monitoring resident health changes, and communicating concerns promptly.
Additionally, the role involves supporting onboarding, mentoring new staff, promoting safety and compliance, and facilitating smooth shift transitions.

Qualifications and Skills:

• High School Diploma/GED and age 18+
• CPR, First Aid, and Medication Administration certifications
• Strong communication, delegation, and decision-making abilities
• Experience in assisted living, memory care, or senior care environments
