Role Overview

The Lead Caregiver is a frontline leader responsible for providing exceptional resident care, coaching team members, and ensuring smooth shift operations. They manage shift assignments, monitor resident changes, and support onboarding of new staff. The role involves hands-on assistance with activities of daily living (ADL), ensuring compliance with care plans, and promoting safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead shift activities, manage attendance, and coordinate coverage
• Provide direct support to residents with ADLs
• Coach and mentor caregiving team on quality, documentation, and hospitality
• Review charting to ensure alignment with Individualized Service Plans (ISP)
• Monitor resident status and communicate concerns promptly
• Support onboarding and training of new team members
• Promote safety, compliance, and effective shift transitions

Qualifications & Skills:

• High School Diploma/GED, age 18+
• CPR, First Aid, and Medication Administration certifications
• Strong communication, delegation, and decision-making skills
• Experience in assisted living, memory care, or senior care environments
