Role Overview
The Caregiver provides essential hands-on support to seniors, fostering independence and dignity while building meaningful relationships. Key responsibilities include assisting with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, mobility, and personal care. They follow individualized service plans, document changes, and promote safety and engagement through conversation and activities. In Memory Care, they create enriching experiences for residents with memory loss, supporting dining services, and maintaining a welcoming environment. Effective communication with residents, families, and care team members is vital.
Qualifications & Skills
- High School Diploma/GED and age 18+
- CPR/First Aid certification or ability to obtain
- Compassion, reliability, and strong communication skills
Key Duties
- Assist with ADLs and support resident independence
- Follow and document care plans
- Promote safety, dignity, and engagement
- Support dining and maintain a clean environment
- Communicate effectively with families and care leaders
- Create enriching experiences for memory care residents
