Role Overview
The Caregiver is essential in providing hands-on support to residents, promoting their safety, dignity, and independence. They assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, mobility, and personal care, following individualized service plans (ISP) and documenting any changes. Engaging residents through conversation and activities helps foster meaningful relationships, while supporting dining services and maintaining a clean, welcoming environment. In Memory Care settings, caregivers create enriching experiences for residents with memory loss.
Qualifications & Skills:
- High School Diploma or GED, age 18+
- CPR/First Aid certification or ability to obtain
- Compassion, reliability, and strong communication skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist residents with ADLs and personal care
- Follow and document ISP changes
- Promote safety, dignity, and independence
- Engage residents with conversations and activities
- Support dining services and maintain cleanliness
