Role Overview

The Lead Caregiver is a frontline leadership role responsible for ensuring high-quality, consistent resident care in a senior living environment. This role involves leading shift assignments, managing attendance, providing hands-on assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADL), coaching team members on care standards, and reviewing documentation to ensure alignment with individualized service plans. The Lead Caregiver monitors resident changes, communicates concerns promptly, supports onboarding and mentorship of new staff, and promotes safety and compliance during shift transitions.

Ideal candidates possess a high school diploma or GED, are 18+, and hold CPR, First Aid, and Medication Administration certifications. Strong communication, delegation, decision-making skills, and experience in assisted living, memory care, or senior care are essential.

The position combines caregiving duties with leadership responsibilities, modeling professionalism, accountability, and compassionate service. Compensation ranges from $22.00 to $27.60 hourly.
