Nuclear Cardiology Nurse to provide coordinated nursing care for patients undergoing nuclear cardiology procedures, including stress testing, imaging, and cardiac monitoring. The role focuses on patient assessment, education, IV placement, medication administration, and continuous monitoring throughout the procedure.
Key responsibilities
- Assess patients and prepare them for nuclear cardiology procedures
- Educate patients on procedure-related information and care needs
- Place IVs, administer medications, and monitor responses and vital signs
- Collaborate closely with cardiologists and technologists to ensure smooth, safe care
- Maintain patient safety and comply with regulatory and clinical standards
- Document care accurately and complete required clinical records
Qualifications & skills
- Registered nursing background with experience in procedure-based patient care
