Cardiac PCU – Clinical RN (Days or Nights)

Role Overview:

This registered nurse role involves providing care for patients with acute and intermediate conditions, including heart failure management, high-risk drips, and telemetry monitoring. The position emphasizes low nurse-patient ratios to ensure safety and satisfaction, utilizing advanced technology and evidence-based practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care within established standards.
  • Educate patients and families on illness management, post-treatment care, and medication administration.
  • Participate in promoting patient safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.
  • Develop and communicate individualized care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
  • Use critical thinking to evaluate physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, respecting patient preferences and cultural considerations.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Minimum Education: Nursing Diploma or Associate’s Degree; Bachelor’s preferred.
  • Licenses & Certifications: Valid RN license; BLS certification required; ACLS certification within one year.
  • Experience: No prior experience required; two years preferred.
  • Additional training in ECG, invasive monitoring, LVAD, and acute care is provided.
