Role Overview:
This position involves providing direct patient care in a cardiac diagnostic lab, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation within nursing standards. The role emphasizes patient and family-centered care, education on illness management, and promoting safety and quality compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and document individualized care plans in collaboration with patients, families, and the healthcare team.
- Assess physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, respecting patient preferences and cultural considerations.
- Participate in professional development and ensure communication of care plans across the continuum.
- Contribute to a safe, healing environment by educating patients and families on post-treatment care and medication management.
- Support quality improvement and regulatory compliance activities.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Minimum education: Nursing Diploma or Associate’s Degree; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Licensure: Valid RN license.
- Experience: 3+ years in cardiac or critical care preferred; new graduates with appropriate certifications may be considered.
- Certifications: BLS/ACLS required or obtainable within 90 days of hire.
- Strong assessment, communication, and critical thinking skills.
