Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist provides skilled support for diagnostic and interventional catheterization procedures by assisting cardiologists with preparation, setup, and in-lab support.
Key responsibilities:
- Operate imaging and hemodynamic monitoring equipment during procedures.
- Scrub and circulate as needed to maintain efficient workflow in the catheterization lab.
- Ensure strict adherence to radiation safety protocols and sterile technique.
- Deliver compassionate patient care before, during, and after procedures.
- Collaborate with nurses and physicians as part of the interprofessional care team.
- Document procedure details and outcomes accurately in hospital systems.
- Respond effectively to patient or procedural emergencies.
- Contribute to a culture focused on learning, innovation, and patient-centered care.
Qualifications/skills: proficiency with cath lab imaging and monitoring systems, strong sterile and radiation safety practices, accurate documentation, ability to work under pressure, and effective teamwork and patient communication.
