Role Overview:
The Full-Time Breast Sonographer (RDMS) performs ultrasound imaging, including breast, abdominal, small parts, and obstetrical scans, to assist in diagnosis and treatment. Responsibilities include ensuring equipment readiness, conducting imaging procedures independently, and documenting findings accurately. The role may involve performing on-call, portable exams, and working at multiple sites. Preference is given to candidates with experience in mammography and breast ultrasound, and certifications such as RDMS and RDCS are required or highly preferred.
Key Duties:
- Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment properly
- Perform imaging examinations with accuracy and professionalism
- Assist with needle procedures like biopsies and drainages
- Ensure proper documentation of procedures
- Work independently and adapt to various work settings
Qualifications & Skills:
- RDMS or equivalent certification required
- High school diploma or associate degree in a relevant field
- Preferred experience of 2+ years in breast ultrasound; mammography experience is highly valued
- Licenses such as RDCS or similar are advantageous
- CPR certification is preferred
