Role Overview:
Responsible for designing and managing complex employee benefit plans, serving as a project manager and primary client contact. The role involves analyzing plan design, cost mitigation, vendor procurement, benchmarking, and supporting compliance and financial performance. The position includes client relationship management, technical expertise, mentoring junior staff, and contributing to market activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support benefit plan design, analysis, and related project tasks.
- Manage client projects and coordinate work across teams.
- Maintain client relationships and provide technical guidance.
- Manage engagement risks, billing, collections, and budgets.
- Identify opportunities for deeper client engagement and present recommendations.
- Contribute to external market and business activities.
For Senior Manager:
- Lead complex benefit plan design and management.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Minimum five years (Senior Manager: eight years) of recent experience in employer benefit strategies.
- Bachelor’s degree; professional credentials such as CPA, EA, JD/LLM, or advanced degrees (MBA, CEBS, GPHR, etc.).
- Proven leadership in managing large client engagements and service teams.
- Deep industry knowledge across benefits, regions, and carriers.
- Strong analytical, project management, and communication skills.
- Ability to work onsite and travel up to 15%.
