Role Overview:
This position is for an Assistant Nurse Manager in the Operating Room, responsible for overseeing patient care, personnel management, equipment maintenance, and statistical tracking within a surgical environment. The role involves managing staff including hiring, training, performance evaluations, and ensuring departmental productivity aligns with operational goals. The manager participates in staffing, budgeting, and resource allocation to support departmental efficiency and quality care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and develop staff, conduct performance reviews, and handle disciplinary actions.
- Coordinate patient care plans based on assessments and medical treatments.
- Oversee staff scheduling, payroll, and communication.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, policies, and procedures.
- Contribute to departmental budgeting and resource management.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (RN license required).
- 2-5 years of experience; preferred 5-10 years with some supervisory experience.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, complex surgical environment.
