Role Overview:
This position is for an Assistant Nurse Manager in the Operating Room, focusing on POD 2 trauma, ortho trauma, plastics, reconstructive joints, and ortho oncology. The role involves coordinating patient care, managing personnel, maintaining equipment, and ensuring adherence to operational goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage staff including hiring, training, assigning work, evaluating performance, and conducting professional development.
- Develop and oversee departmental staffing, budgets, and operational efficiency.
- Provide and supervise patient care tailored to age and developmental needs, ensuring documentation compliance.
- Create collaborative care plans based on assessments and medical treatments.
- Monitor staff productivity, conduct performance reviews, and manage staffing needs, including overtime and disciplinary actions.
- Ensure safety standards, respond to changes impacting departmental goals, and support staff development.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (RN).
- 2-5 years of experience with no supervisory experience required; preferred 5-10 years with less than 2 years of supervisory experience.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
