Role: Assistant Nurse Manager for Hearts Pod 3 at a Level One Trauma Center
Responsibilities:
- Manage staff including hiring, training, performance evaluations, coaching, disciplinary actions, and professional development.
- Oversee staff scheduling, productivity, and ensure departmental operational goals are met.
- Lead patient care planning, ensuring interventions are appropriate for age and needs, and document accordingly.
- Participate in staffing, budgeting, and respond to business changes affecting goals.
- Review staff hours, coordinate payroll, and ensure effective communication and team meetings.
- Support staff performance improvements and maintain safety standards.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.
- 2-5 years of nursing experience; preferred 5-10 years.
- RN license required.
- Leadership experience preferred, with less than 2 years supervisory experience acceptable.
