Role Overview: This leadership position entails overseeing patient care, personnel management, equipment maintenance, and statistical tracking in an emergency department setting.
Responsibilities include:
- Managing staff through hiring, training, assigning tasks, evaluating performance, and conducting professional development.
- Participating in staffing, revenue, and expense planning, ensuring departmental goals are met.
- Providing patient care aligned with age and developmental needs, documenting interventions, and developing collaborative care plans.
- Monitoring staff productivity, managing scheduling, payroll, and staff communications, and addressing disciplinary actions.
- Conducting performance reviews and supporting staff growth and operational efficiency.
Qualifications:
- Minimum: Nursing Diploma/Associate’s Degree and RN licensure.
- Experience: 2-5 years, with preferred qualifications of a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing, 5-10 years of experience, and supervisor experience.
- Preferred: Emergency room or critical care experience, and supervisory experience of less than 2 years.
