Role Overview:
Support a specialized cardiology team by providing clinical care and patient management, including triage, inquiries, care coordination, and education. Focus on managing cardiac devices such as pacemakers and defibrillators through interrogations, reprogramming, troubleshooting, and monitoring remote transmissions. Collaborate with electrophysiologists and cardiologists to evaluate arrhythmias and device functions, ensuring accurate documentation and adherence to protocols. Prioritize patient care, communicate effectively with providers and patients, and support clinical processes like anticoagulation clearances and paperwork. Maintain knowledge of cardiac device technology and demonstrate safety awareness in a safety-sensitive environment.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Current RN license; Bachelor’s degree preferred
- 2+ years of RN experience, preferably in Cardiology or Electrophysiology
- Technical proficiency with cardiac devices, troubleshooting, and programming
- Strong documentation, triage, and communication skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform device interrogations, reprogramming, and troubleshooting
- Review remote device transmissions, assess patient status, and coordinate follow-up
- Document patient interactions accurately in electronic health records
- Educate patients and families, and prioritize care according to clinical needs
- Monitor device recalls and ensure patient safety
